Location
Auden House is a large detached Victorian property that has been adapted and extended over the years to provide accommodation for up to sixteen older people. The home is situated in a residential area of Audenshaw and is in private ownership. |
Our Aims
The philosophy of Auden House is to meet the needs and promote the independence and quality of life of each individual resident. Whilst living in our protected and caring environment, the dignity, integrity, and self-esteem of each person is respected; all residents are seen and treated as intelligent individuals in their tender years, as opposed to being just a number. |

Facilities
Located in pleasant surroundings with its own private gardens and patio area, the home is a two-storey building with a 5-person lift giving easy access to all rooms.
Bathrooms are close to hand on both floors with specially provided bathing aids for those who are less mobile. There are two T.V. lounges and a quiet sitting area.
This is a non-smoking home. |
Food
We acknowledge that meals are an important and enjoyable part of a resident's stay with us. As such our residents have a choice of menu, which includes a variety of home cooked foods. Whilst we do have a pre-planned menu, every resident is consulted about their personal diet and preferences, and we are pleased to say that for several years we have been awarded the Tameside Environmental Services Clean Food Award. |

Activities
Music afternoons and entertainment are arranged occasionally and a selection of large print books are on hand in our ever-growing library. Residents are encourged to join in group activities, such as 'Play Your Cards Right' and gentle in-chair exercises. |
